Política é isso mesmo: tudo é fato, principalmente o dito pelo não dito. O que importa mesmo não está na notícia, ou no emissário. O que vale de verdade é o objetivo. Se o objetivo é dividir, um conto de amor é uma tragédia grega. Um canto épico é uma saga divina.
Convém aos que estão perto que aqueles que estão longe não se aproximem. Convém porque o leite é pouco para ser dividido. Amigos, amigos, negócios negócios à parte. E a parte que lhe cabe é o sentimento estratégico, primo-irmão do outro, o sentimento desinteressado. É a vida.
Aí você cai no conto dos vigaristas, digo, nos contos dos vigários e, sem mais nem menos (pra você), passa a ser massa de manobra, em vez do líder carismático que imagina. Quem domina a malandragem? Esperteza demais come o esperto. Sempre assim, sem freio no arreio.
A urdidura dos fatos é uma coisa, a realidade dos interesses é outra, a ver: muito antes pelo contrário. Então escuta aqui, confere lá. Seja astuto cá, para não caducar acolá. Gasta tempo ouvindo a outra parte, a contraparte e a parte extra campo, em vez de centrar fogo numa ouvidoria só. Vai que a ouvidoria escorrega no braquiara! Pra você ver.
Tenho sempre um pé atrás com quem vende dificuldade mas entrega facilidade. Ou com quem aponta o dedo mas mas pra furar o olho, e não para dar direção. Direção razoável, equilibrada, nos conformes da razoabilidade daqueles que são dialéticos, antes de serem tão somente desconfiados. Esse povo não escreve certo por linhas tortas. Vivem bem do mal.
Mas chega de importuná-lo com obviedades da arte da política. Vejo que você está bem crescido, não precisa de babá. Nem de baba-ovos, naturalmente. A não ser que goste. Se é por gosto, nada a acrescentar, porque sou da roça e aprendi cedo, ma ordenha dos dias: antes um caminhão de abóbora do que um gosto contrariado. Falo com solitude na compreensão, me entenda, concordar é outra coisa ainda.
Tudo passa, até a uva, dizem meus filhos, rindo da mesma piada toda hora. E é por aí: temos rir dessas vicissitudes, das artes e manhas de toda gente que se locupleta de amizades poderosas. O poder pode muito, mas não pode quando escapa. Nessas horas vemos como as tessituras dos arautos não valem um centavo na feira da marreta. E entendemos como as teorias da conspiração são engraçadas diante do espelho da serenidade.
Ia me esquecendo, ora veja. Sem querer ensinar pai nosso a vigário (mais um que invoco), aprendi com mamãe e papai que faz todo sentido dar mais trela aos amigos que incentivam a paz àqueles que se locupletam não pregação da guerra. Amigos nos preservam, não são amigos do alheio. Só estou dizendo, não sou dono da verdade. Confesso, inclusive: tenho gastura dos donos da verdade. Dessas vestais da rua de cima. Como diria mestre Batista Custódio, conheço todas como putas na rua de baixo. Com todo respeito.
Eis, pois. Não precisa me responder. Não precisa me atender. Seja feliz. Se for ou não for, eu serei do mesmo jeito. Não há mal que dure. Se você acredita em todos contra mim, eu que não vou contrariar seu séquito de vassalagem. Deixe que ganhem essa guerra. Definitivamente, não serei eu a sair perdendo. Deus provê, Deus proverá.
