O maior desafio do prefeito de Goiânia, Rogério Cruz, está por vir. Até agora, ele tem se debatido mais com desacertos internos do que com fogo externo. Não há oposição constituída, armada, renhida à sua administração. Há escaramuças, fogo amigo, erros por incompreensão sobre o jogo do poder e patacoada de assessores, como a derrubada do heliponto. Mas tudo bem. Nada capaz de derrubar as bases, no máximo abalá-las um pouco.
Sem oposição que mereça o nome, é em 2023, no terceiro ano, que Rogério sentirá o peso de seu maior adversário: a corrida pela sua sucessão. No meio político, é onda a avaliação de que ele não será reeleito, o que significa campo aberto para qualquer um. E todos querem a cadeira de prefeito. Este ano, as coisas tendem a ser calmas, pelo menos até o meio do segundo semestre. Depois, não. Depois é guerra.
Rogério tem tempo, portanto, para arrumar a casa. E seu problema é político. Basta olhar com atenção o ápice, até agora, da pressão que sofreu, com aprovação do Plano Diretor e início da cobrança do IPTU. Não foi falta de comunicação. Foi encrenca em sua base e em sua estrutura interna, no Paço. Isso resultou na falta de ação de seus articuladores e, em consequência, de seus comunicadores, que estavam agindo mais como políticos do que como comunicadores.
Não existe boa comunicação com governo ruim. Rogério precisará olhar mais para dentro. Quem são seus aliados de verdade? Em quem ele pode confiar? Como se organizar para resistir ao sopro dos lobos e não ser levado ao sabor dos ventos dos interesses que o cercam? Uma questão simples de ordem: ele não chegou a prefeito por obra de vereadores, nem de grupos políticos conhecidos, ou por conta de sua força política. Foi parar lá pelas circunstâncias. Mas também por outra coisa: o Republicanos – e a Igreja Universal.
Esta é sua base. Estes são os seus sustentáculos naturais. Se perdê-los, Rogério terá que já estar sobre outra base de apoio (e aqui não se trata de apoio na Câmara, e sim de algo maior, mais sólido). Do contrário, cairá para qualquer lado ao menor empurrão. Pode perder-los? Eis a questão. No horizonte, hoje, o que vemos: o bombardeio contra essa base, como se ela fosse a razão de todo mal na administração. E sabemos que não é.
Desde que assumiu, Rogério sofre assédio por todos os flancos. Ou alguém acredita que o objetivo de limpar a área, retirando alguns assessores, tem nobre interesse de santos nomes goianos? Tudo é política e jogo de interesses. Espaços estratégicos são disputados a tapas, intrigas e muita, mas muita falação em palanques, tribunas, redes sociais e veículos de comunicação. Definir os amigos e, principalmente, os inimigos, eis o que se apresenta para os próximos meses a Rogério.
E para não dizerem que eu também não fiz trocadilho com o nome do prefeito, conto uma história. Uma história minha. Ali por 2015, 2016, eu estava em um momento muito difícil, triste, sem perspectivas. Mas agarrado à minha fé. Sou devoto de Nossa Senhora D’Abadia, então fui lá no dia dela, 15 de agosto, para a missa principal. Quem conhece Muquém sabe como é maravilhoso sentir toda aquela energia, todos aqueles rostos cheios de esperança e gratidão.
Mas foi na homilia que me senti mais abençoado. Confesso que eu estava disperso, com pensamento longe. Porém com o mínimo de atenção consegui captar o que me foi fundamental. Disse o bispo, em palavras minhas – como entendi -, que não adiantava a gente carregar a cruz dos outros. Não resolve tentar aliviar o peso da cruz do meu pai, da minha mãe, de quem quer que seja. Cada um é senhor de sua cruz, ainda que possamos estar perto, limpar o suor, cuidar para que o outro saiba que não está sozinho.
Pois é. A verdadeira cruz de Rogério não está no nome. Querer puxar saco carregando por ele, ou apedrejá-lo para que a caminhada seja mais difícil, não muda o essencial: a cruz é dele. Ele é que tem que saber o que fazer com ela. E prestar contas com a sua consciência, com a sua história, com aqueles que governa. Para o céu ou o inferno, a distância é a caminhada. E vamos lembrar: a voz do povo é a voz de Deus.
